Project leadership differs from project management.  Management tasks include updating the plan, collecting and reporting on task completion, and maintaining Issues and Risk logs.

Leadership deals with identifying ways to mitigate risks and solve issues, engaging executives as required, taking proactive action to move the project forward and to keep driving for the expected value. Sometimes that means we are coach, motivator, friend or drill instructor.
